<p>Thanks to my boy Colin over at <a href="http://minimize.com/" target="_blank">minimize.com</a> I was able to make my website much more visual this weekend.  My hope is that the new <a href="http://www.byproductof.com/" target="_self">home</a> and <a href="http://www.byproductof.com/portfolio-2" target="_self">portfolio</a> pages will make it easier for a site visitor to understand what I&#8217;m all about.  It feels good to be able to display some of the work I&#8217;ve done over the years to the people who are nice enough to stop by.  Please feel free to leave a comment below if you like any of what you see or if you have any feedback to offer. <p>Recently I entered the <a href="http://www.local-motors.com/competition.php?c=20" target="_blank">Local Motors Pacific Northwest Vehicle Design Competition</a> with the BioDre 2.0 Concept pictured above.  It&#8217;s a battery powered plug-in electric SUV with two motors and a bio-diesel range extender/removable generator.  I think the concept is strong, but I&#8217;m headed back to the <a href="http://www.wacom.com/cintiq/" target="_blank">cintiq</a> [drawing board] to work on a more dramatic design.  The competition required that your inspiration come from Earth, Fire, Water and Wind, so I kept mine very specific to the PNW.  My friend Paul McKean&#8217;s <a href="http://www.pmckean.com/residential/neal-creek/" target="_blank">Neal Creek residence</a> is the place outlined in the background on the far right.  Click on the image to enlarge</p>
